behind the name . . .
ENDEMANN Menswear’s creative fire is fueled by the diverse talents of its founder, Laki Endemann, who is of Samoan heritage.
This passion for fashion ignited at the age of 15, when Laki embarked on a career in fashion, working with a renowned women's wear designer. Eager to immerse himself in the industry, Laki pursued part-time studies in Fashion Technology while dedicating full-time efforts to absorb comprehensive knowledge in fashion design, manufacturing, and the ever-evolving landscape of online fashion
Over the past three decades, before establishing Endemann, Laki honed his expertise by working with various high-end labels in fashion. His commitment led him to gain a well-rounded understanding of the trade, contributing to every facet of the industry.
ENDEMANN is a German | Samoan name and comes from Laki’s father, Samuel (Samu) Endemann, from the village of Fagamalo, Savai'i, Samoa.
Laki’s parents have been extremely inspirational throughout his life, serving as his greatest role models. Both his mother and father were hugely influential in his decision to pursue a career in fashion, and he is incredibly proud to be able to honour his late parents, father Samu Endemann and mother Pulotu Faileaso Alice Endemann nee McCarthy, a well respected Samoan matai (chief) from Malaemalu, Falealili, Samoa, by creating the ENDEMANN brand.
